Your TNW Weekly Recap - 4/12/2026

Today's the day! It's MODEX Day 1 and we're on site here in Atlanta gearing up for a big week of coverage.

I'll be doing at least 40 interviews throughout this week and capturing some of the latest solutions to roll out for our industry.

Here's where you can catch some of this live this week:

Today at 10am EST we'll be live with the MHI ASRS Industry Group where I'll be talking with several group members specifically about the ASRS world. Join on LinkedIn or YouTube.

Tuesday at 10am EST I'll be going live with some brand new product announcements from Snapfulfil by Synergy Logistics. We'll dive into their new offering and be joined by both operators and other tech providers in the space. Join on LinkedIn or YouTube.

Wednesday morning at 9:30am EST I'll be going live with a few folks in the industry to get their take on what they've seen over the first two days of MODEX and what has stood out. Join on LinkedIn or YouTube.

Aside from going live, we'll also be running around in the afternoons getting interviews at exhibitors booths and capturing video of some of the solutions on the floor.

If you're here come find us outside of Hall C on Podcast Row at booth C16002.

Is there anything in particular you're looking forward to at MODEX?

Monday's Episode - Right-Sized Packaging: A Box Last Approach Means Lower Costs & Less Waste

In this episode of The New Warehouse Podcast, Kevin chats with Jeff Belcher, General Manager at CMC Packaging Automation, and Craig Hall, Head of Sales for North America. Together, they explore how right-sized packaging automation is reshaping fulfillment operations.

CMC, a family-run company with over 40 years of history, has evolved from mailing and wrapping to become a leader in automated e-commerce packaging. The conversation focuses on the shift from manual pack stations to machine-level packaging, the rise of right-sized solutions, and how operators can rethink packout to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and better handle the complexity of modern orders.

Wednesday's Episode - Mixed Case Palletizing: Jacobi Robotics and the Holy Grail

Kevin chats with Max Cao, Co-founder and CEO of Jacobi Robotics, and Pete Allen, who wears many hats, including serving as a Board Adviser for Jacobi. Together, they discuss long-standing challenges of tackling mixed-case palletizing in warehouse operations.

Jacobi Robotics enables robots to handle complex, real-world case flows without requiring massive infrastructure changes. The conversation explores how Jacobi is bridging the gap between research and real deployment, why brownfield environments matter, and how their Omni Palletizer is making automation more accessible across industries.

Friday's Episode - Attabotics Returns with a Clearer Path Forward

In this episode of The New Warehouse Podcast, Kevin chats with Art Eldred, SVP, Mark Dickinson, SVP and General Manager at Attabotics, and Bruce Robbins, President and Founder of Lafayette Engineering. The conversation centers on Attabotics’ return to the market through a partnership with Lafayette.

Together, they explore what went wrong, what remains strong, and how the technology is evolving. More importantly, they break down how dense storage, rapid access, and flexible deployment models are positioning Attabotics for a more practical and scalable future.

That's it for last week on the podcast. Looking forward to seeing everything here at MODEX this week and hope to see you as well!

Thank you,

Kevin

This is quite the late recap from last week but I was on a road trip with my son through Wednesday as we went from NJ to Chicago to hit the Pokemon exhibit at The Field Museum. We also hit Bucc-ee's for the first time on our way through Ohio. What a crazy experience, it was absolutely mobbed with people. The brisket sandwich was good though! I wanted to send out this note and let you know that we have been working on how to evolve what we do from an email content perspective. Currently, we...

Just a reminder that I am going live today at 11am EST with Rueben Scriven of Interact Analysis to talk about warehouse automation trends coming out of the first half of the year. Join us on LinkedIn or YouTube. Bring your questions! If you can't make it but have questions, reply to this email and let me know. You'll be able to watch the replay later. Have a great day! Thank you, Kevin

First off, Happy Father's Day to the Dad's out there! I enjoyed mine with my son and my father the past two days. It's certainly my most enjoyable role to date! Coming up this week we've got two special events that I want to make sure you are aware of: Warehousing After Dark (virtual) is happening this Tuesday (6/23) at 8pm EST. If you've been on the fence about attending, it's an incredibly laidback atmosphere and everyone is there to just hang out. No constant pitching, no hunger to close...
