Your TNW Weekly Recap - 6/22/2025

Holy 600! Last week we released episode 600 of the podcast which you can check out below. Still pretty wild to me that I'm still doing this 6 years later and after so many conversations. It's been a wild journey and I'm very thankful for everyone that has supported in any way.

Many times people have asked me how much could possibly be going on with warehouses to have a whole podcast about it but I think 600 episodes can be a good explanation. The truth is there are so many interesting and nuanced things happening within our industry that the conversations can be never ending. Another big takeaway is that there are more people entering this industry all the time and they are looking for a way to learn so they can do a great job.

I'm happy to be putting something out that helps people learn, discover and hopefully make their operations better. That's where I was at when I started the podcast and now I'm happy to bring some value to those in the same position.

So what's in store for the next 600 episodes? You tell me! What should we talk about? Who should we talk to? Reply and let me know.

Thank you for helping me get this far!

Monday's Episode - Emphasizing the User Experience with SnapFulfil's WMS

video preview

Live from ProMat 2025, I caught up with Brian Kirst, Chief Commercial Officer at SnapFulfil. Brian shares updates on SnapFulfil’s recent innovations, including a brand-new user interface and enhanced dashboards that are transforming the warehouse management experience. The conversation explores how SnapFulfil is helping companies gain better visibility, empower frontline teams, and stay competitive, especially in the evolving 3PL landscape. From training temps in 15 minutes to customizable dashboards that eliminate reliance on IT, SnapFulfil’s focus is on making tech work for people.

Wednesday's Episode - Creating Value in Return Processing

video preview

It's the 600th episode of the podcast and we recorded it live at ProMat 2025. I sat down with married co-founders Nate and Jessica Schisler, the dynamic duo behind Maven Circular and its operations arm, Maven Fulfillment and Recommerce (Maven FR). The two bring decades of collective experience in reverse logistics, fulfillment, and circular commerce. Their mission? Help brands maximize value from returned goods while reducing waste and inefficiency across the supply chain. In this episode, they share how they went from consulting to running warehouses and why faster return processing is the hidden lever brands aren’t pulling.

That's it for last week! Now it's time to gear up for the week ahead!

Thank you,

Kevin

Wow I am way late on sending last week's recap but I've been at the IWLA Conference in San Antonio since Saturday night soaking in all the 3PL knowledge. This was my first time attending their conference and my second IWLA event ever. I had quite a few people ask me about the conference and if it would be good for them to attend prior to going. I told them I wasn't sure because I had never been but now I can fully say that it is absolutely worth it if you are a 3PL. The community and...

Hope you're having a great week so far! I'm getting ready to head off to San Antonio for IWLA's Annual Convention. It's my first time attending so not quite sure what to expect but after a great experience at their Fulfillment Forum last year I believe it will be a very valuable few days. On Sunday night we'll be hosting a Warehousing After Dark in person event if you'll be at IWLA or if you'll be in the San Antonio area. Register here if so! Definitely excited to get some industry folks...

Last week I had the pleasure of being on site at Dexory's North American HQ for their grand opening in Nashville. They've really put together a nice destination for those that want to explore the possibilities of their solution and a place where you can really see the Dexory bot in action (it's a full on warehouse). While I got to see all the different demos they have there which include inventory auditing, storage health, block counts and more; the best part was getting to moderate a panel...
